Why PWC Donates to the Adaptive Climbers Festival
Losing my hand changed everything—but it didn’t take away my ability to climb or create art. The adaptive climbing community showed me that I’m not limited. They gave me a space where I felt understood, welcomed, and empowered. I found not just a sport, but a sense of belonging.
Climbing with others who adapt in their own ways helped me realize that we all move differently, and that’s something to celebrate. It’s why I pour that spirit into my art and my company—to give back, to uplift, and to show others that adaptive athletes deserve to be seen, supported, and encouraged.
If you’ve ever thought about trying climbing, the Adaptive Climber’s Festival is the perfect place to start. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned climber, there’s something for everyone. There are volunteers to help you try something new, adaptive mentors to learn from, and most importantly a community that gets what it’s like to be different.
Climbing is for everyone. We all adapt on the rock. And together, we go higher.
